USR Company History
USR, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Matt Gelfand the President/CEO today. While designing the GRAB-sp Barrier USR was dedicated to speaking with clients and end users in all markets to determine their needs. In doing so, USR took those needs and engineered them into a solution.
Before GRAB-sp reduced risk barriers had long run-off distances of up to 200 feet and rigid barriers such as, hydraulic bollards and wedge barriers, were costly and potentially dangerous. USR, Inc. then answered the call for a reduced risk, K12 certified barrier solution which became known as GRAB-sp. Clients were able to witness testing and development throughout many phases of product design. This allowed them to give extensive input into what they felt the security industry needed. GRAB-sp addressed issues such as:

In April 2005, USR was awarded the GSA Contract #GS-07F-5792R. Today USR Inc. is the leader in Energy Absorbing Barriers and Security Solutions.
USR continued their legacy of engineering products to meet client needs and by 2006 they had expanded their security product line to include five innovative additions: XMB Mobile Barrier, B.A.N, ODDS, custom covers and a signs and signals. In addition to the expanding product line USR also offers services such as: Design & Engineering, Project Management & Installation and Service & Maintenance to meet all security needs.
