The Expeditionary Mobile Barrier (EMB™) is USR's premier product in mobile barrier technology. The EMB is a completely portable, reduced-risk active vehicle net barrier with applications ranging from military to law enforcement needs. This energy-absorbing, net barrier meets the need for a low-cost solution for capturing threat vehicles without injuring the vehicle's occupants.
USR teamed up with Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation (ESCO) to combine the mobility and rapid deployment of our Xtreme Mobile Barrier, or XMB, with the energy-absorbing technology of ESCO's Textile Break Modules to form the most innovative mobile vehicle arresting system.
The EMB protects vehicle occupants from injury and brings vehicles to a complete stop in a predictable distance with minimal damage. It can be rapidly deployed with a wireless remote control in less than two seconds, and can be immediately reset following an impact.
