Overheight Detection Prevents Potential Hazards
With the Overheight Detection system, drivers of oversized or tall vehicles are alerted to their vehicles' inability to enter a canopy area safely. The system uses sound produced by 18" long tubes, called "Tattle Tales", to alert the driver upon impact with the tubes. The "Tattle Tales" are suspended at a predetermined height to ensure that a vehicle will clear the canopy structure, which prevents possible damage to the approaching vehicle and the canopy structure.

Advantages of the Overheight Detection system:
Overheight Detected by "Tattle Tales"
The "Tattle Tales" are centered and spaced evenly across a section of road using two vertical strain poles and wire roping. The tubes are clearly marked with red and white striping. The system also uses Warning Signage with simple text to alert drivers to the presence of the Overheight Detection system.
