Universal Safety Response's E.R.C.,™ Evidence Recovery and Containment System,
is the company's innovative response to military and law enforcement agencies who have identified a significant shortcoming in the equipment available to their Bomb
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Units. The E.R.C.™ is a lightweight ballistic enclosure that contains the hazardous debris and critical evidence generated when a PAN (Percussion Actuated Non-electric) disruptor is employed to safely disable, destroy or defuse explosive devices.
The E.R.C.™ requires no tools to assemble and can take less than one minute to deploy. Its lightweight frame, made from ballistic material, creates a structure strong enough
to withstand repeated impacts from water shots or AVON rounds - yet at under 50 pounds total weight it can be lifted and placed over explosive devices by almost any robot. Snap-on handles allow bomb technicians to place the unit manually when the scenario allows.
Easily deployable, the E.R.C.™ breaks down into eight components without the use of tools or fasteners. All parts are color-coded for easy assembly in low-light conditions or for technicians under significant stress. An adjustable opening at the front of the system allows the disruptor to be aimed directly at the explosive device regardless of the
available angle, yet minimize the dispersal of evidence.
FEATURES
• Additional ballistic panels can be added
to contain aluminum slugs traveling at
extremely high velocities
• Omni-directional grip lifting block for
robot deployment
• Side panels can be reinforced with
ballistic panels for off-axis shots
• Detachable lift and carry handles
BENEFITS
• Debris field reduced from over 300 feet to
less than five feet
• Evidence containment also prevents
contamination of surrounding
environment
• Prevents damage to property by
containing high-velocity debris
• Significantly reduces risk of injury to
bystanders
